Circle K International (CKI)

Circle K Logo
Here at Michigan Tech, we are part of a much larger scale organization known as Circle K International.
The first club to be officially chartered outside of the United States and Canada was the College of the Bahamas on April 25, 1977. With the addition of several nations and continued growth by existing clubs, Circle K's membership grew to 13,000 by the end of 1980. In 1985 Barbados became the 7th nation of Circle K International. Circle K International has continued to grow ever since.
We base our mission and motto upon the Mission of Circle K International:
The CKI Mission is to involve college and university students in campus and community service while developing quality leaders and citizens.
Circle K inspires people to better our world. In support of this we are committed to:
- collaborating with all members of the K-family to achieve our common objectives;
- continuing student management of the organization at all levels;
- developing positive role models;
- enhancing inter-cultural understanding and cooperation;
- increasing our service potential;
- providing opportunities for fellowship, personal growth, and professional development;
- working toward greater public recognition of the organization.
